Overtaking bid results in clash between bus crew; FIR lodged

Mangaluru, October 22, 2024: An FIR has been filed in Urwa police station in connection with a clash between the crew of two private buses in the city at Urwastore junction on Sunday over an overtaking issue.

It is learnt, the driver of a city bus named Deedar tried to overtake a service bus named Teena operating on the Kinnigoli-Kateel route in a very reckless manner twice. Later, Chethan and Mohammad Hussain, the driver and conductor of Deedar bus alighted from the bus and abused Hasan, the conductor of the other bus.

It is learnt, later in a fit of rage, the conductor of the city bus broke the right side mirror and side glass of the service bus.
