Padubidri : Driver dies in lorry mishap near Uchila

Padubidri, April 21, 2020:   The driver of a lorry lost his  life in a  horrific accident reported  from  near Uchila on the National Highway 66 at around 4 am on Tuesday.

 

A lorry laden with flour  which had developed a technical snag and was halted on the roadside on the Udupi-Mangaluru  Highway was hit by another onion laden lorry from behind. The driver of the stationed lorry who was checking what was wrong was run over in the process and died on the spot.

The deceased driver is Mahantesh of Hubballi. Even the driver of the other lorry was seriously injured in the mishap.

Both the lorries have overturned due to the impact of the collision. Padubidri Police have registered a case.
