Padubidri cops bust UPCL labour colony murder case

Udupi, Sep 14, 2013 : The Padubidri Police led by Udupi DySP(Probationary) Savitha P Hoogar have arrested one person in connection with the recent murder of a laborer at the labour colony of UPCL.

The arrested man is Basappa Durgappa Mastamaradi of Savadatti taluk in Belgaum district.  He was arrested  from Panchanayakana Katte in Gokak. The murder came to light on August 25 in room number C-6 of the Labour colony.

The body was identified as that of Sharanappa of Gangavathi taluk  in Koppala district  by relatives of the deceased who arrived from their native place. During investigations, police had learnt that two labourers of north Karnataka were last seen with the deceased  Sharanappa.
