Palemar Inaugurates Photo Exhibition of Flood Relief

‘The government will take up development of rural and fisheries roads in Dakshina Kannada at a cost of Rs. 2.80 crores which will connect over 200 villages to the major district roads, state and national highways’, said District incharge minister Mr. J. Krishna Palemar, speaking to the presspersons after inaugurating the two day photo exhibition at KSRTC Bus stop on Friday October 24.

The photography exhibition organized by Information department depicted the terrible floods occurred in north Karnataka that killed hundreds of people. The exhibition entitled ‘Nere Nooru Mukha’  (hundred faces of flood) showed some of the extraordinary photos that portrayed immense damage to the land, structures, human and sufferings of the people.

This is the first full scale depiction of the dreadful human tragedy that the North Karnataka experienced during the recent floods. Mr. Palemar wished and said this photo exhibition should motivate more people to contribute to the flood relief fund. The private organization which donates a large sum of amount for the victims is appreciated, he added.
