Parents decide to donate organs of 16-yr-old brain-dead son

Ullal, Sep 13, 2022: A 16-yr-old student, who was critically injured after falling from a city bus a week ago was declared brain dead today. His parents have decided to donate his organs.

 

Yashraj (16), a resident of Byderepalu in Mastikatte in Ullal, was critically injured after falling from the bus near Adamkudru on Wednesday, September 7. He was admitted to a hospital with serious head injuries. Though he was cared for in the Intensive Care Unit, his health did not improve.

On September 13, Yashraj was declared brain dead. His parents, Thyagaraj and Mamata Karkera, have reportedly consented to donate his organs to needy patients.

Yashraj was pursuing his PUC studies at St Aloysius P U college.
