Pedestrian critically injured in KSRTC bus hit, dies in hospital

Uppinangady, November 26, 2024: An elderly pedestrian who was seriously injured after a KSRTC bus knocked him down at Shirady has died in the hospital.

The deceased is KM Mathai alias Mathachan (70) of Padambala in Shirady. He was on way to the town when the Dharmasthala-Bengaluru KSRTC bus knocked him down. He was admitted to a local hospital and later to a hospital in Mangaluru where he succumbed on Monday evening.

Mathai’s elder son Reji had also met with an accident two months ago near Udane and is presently recuperating at home.
