Police clueless regarding whereabouts of missing Congress leader of Kota

Kundapur, Jan 10, 2013: Secretary of Kota Block Congress Vasudeva Adiga of Vandar in Udupi taluk who went mysteriously missing on January 7 Monday while on way home, and is suspected to have been kidnapped, has not yet been traced.

 

vasudev 1Police have a strong suspicion that he was kidnapped. Sources say though one local person was detained for enquiry, he was later let off.


 Several senior officials including DySP Yashoda Shibaroor have visited Adiga’s residence and have spoken to the family members.


Adiga was staying in his house with his mother. An eerie silence pervades the house. Even Adiga’s sisters and brother have arrived.


Meanwhile, Neerjaddu Vinayaka Yuva Vedike President Guruprasad, Lokesh P Hegde, Vice President of Jaya Karnataka  organization and Prithviraj Shetty, Kota block Youth Congress President, have suspected that he was kidnapped with an intention to kill him. 


They also said Adiga, a farmer was also a known personality in the area through his social service activities. They have also warned of severe stir if police fail to trace Adiga and arrest his kidnappers.
