Polling begins for Udupi CMC

Udupi, March 7, 2013  : Elections to the 35 wards of Udupi City Municipal Council commenced on March 7, Thursday. Prominent among those who exercised their franchise early in the day was senior Congress leader Oscar Fernandes.

Oscar who waited in the queue outside his polling booth at the Ambalpady Aided Higher Primary School, later cast his vote. Oscar was spotted at the polling booth as early as 6.30 am along with his wife.

Later speaking to reporters present  at the spot, he exuded confidence that the Congress would be voted to power in Udupi.
