Poojari leads Congress Padayatra from Tokkottu to Kulur

Mangalore, Mar 14, 2014: A Padayatra from Thokkottu to Kulur Junction  organised by the District Congress Committee as part of its campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections was flagged off at Thokkottu on March 14, Friday morning.

 

 

The Padayatra was flagged off at the Veera Maruthi Vyayama Shale at Thokkottu by District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai. He handed over the party flag to B Janardhana Poojari, the Congress candidate from DK constituency who is leading the Padayatra.

Speaking on the occasion, Poojari said the Congress considers  only Narendra Modi  as its opponent this time as the BJP was  seeking votes not in the name of its candidate, but in the name of its PM candidate Narendra Modi.

UT Khader, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Kanachur Monu, Mithun Rai, Kripa Amar Alva,  Ivan D’Souza, MLA JR Lobo, former MLA Vijaykumar Shetty and others were present.
