Pragathi Bandhu SHGs of SKDRDP celebrate decennial fete

Mangalore , Feb 9, 2013 : Any task can be accomplished when it is executed with dedication and devotion, said D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala.

 

 

 

 

He was presiding over the decennial celebrations of the Mangalore Taluk Pragathi Bandhu   Self-Help Groups constituted under the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project.  The function held at the Manjushree Hall of Sri Kshetra Kadri, saw the installation of office bearers of the Kendra Okkoota.

Continuing, Heggade said the achievements of the Pragathi Bandhu Okkoota can be one standing example to the dedication and perseveration with which any work is done.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel distributed dividends to the members.  He said the Rama Rajya envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi is being realized by Dr Veerendra Heggade through the Dharmasthala Rural Development Project.

 Past President Shanker Shetty handed over charge to the new President Alwyn F D’Souza on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner N Prakash was present as a chief guest.

The Best Pragathi Bandhu team of Pedamale, Best organic farmer Ivan Lobo of Neerude and best farmer Ramakrishna Sanil were honoured. Various other outstanding farmers were also felicitated.
