Private bus rams into stationed car; driver dies

Kundapur, September 24, 2024: A car driver lost his life after a private bus rammed into the stationed car near the Arate bridge on the National Highway 66 at Kundapur on Monday night.

The deceased is Nasir Siddique of Bhatkal. He had been to a hospital in Mangaluru along with family members and was returning to Bhatkal when the mishap took place at around 8.45. Nasir had stopped the car after hearing some sound in the engine and was trying to rectify it. Meanwhile a private bus on way to Gangolli from Kundapur rammed into the doors of the car and Nasir who was nearby sustained serious injuries and died while being rushed to the hospital.

A case has been registered in Gangolli police station.
