Protest at Kanchinadka demanding cancellation of toll booth

Padubidri, August 24, 2024: A protest was staged at Kanchinadka on Saturday demanding the cancellation of a toll booth proposed to be set up at the place located on the Padubidri-Karkala State Highway.

Various organizations supported the protest which saw a large number of participants. People of Padubidri, Belman and 40 villages in the vicinity of the State Highway participated in the protest by downing shutters of their business establishments and keeping their vehicles including cars, tempos, lorries and buses off the road.
