Puttur: 3 dead as car falls into gorge

Puttur, December 28, 2024: Three persons lost their lives on the spot when the car in which they were travelling went out of control of the driver and fell into a gorge at Parladka byepass on the Maani-Mysuru National Highway on Saturday morning.

The deceased are Annu Naika (85), his son Chidananda Naika (58) and a neighbour Ramesh Naika (68). All of them were residents of Jattipalla in Sullia taluk. They were returning after visiting Punacha in Puttur for the Gondhol Pooja.

The accident came to light only later in the morning. Puttur Traffic Police have visited the spot.
