Puttur: Banner with garland of slippers offers homage to BJP leaders

Puttur, May 15, 2023: The BJP cadres who are disappointed over the defeat of the party candidate in Puttur, have put up a banner featuring former CM D V Sadananda Gowda and MP and State BJP President Nalin Kumar who are from the constituency and have offered respectful homage to them in an apparent mockery over the failure. The banner is also seen with a garland of slippers.

 

The poster also mentions that the aggrieved Hindu workers have put up the banner.

It may be mentioned here that BJP had faced rebellion from its own cadre in Puttur and Arun Kumar Puttila had contested as an independent after the party chose Asha Thimmappa Gowda as its candidate.  The election turned out to be a close contest between Puttila and Congress candidate Ashok Kumar Rai with the latter ultimately triumphing.
