Puttur : Gram Panchayat Member dies in car accident

Puttur, Feb 15, 2023: A Gram Panchayat member lost his life after the car in which he was travelling went out of control and rammed into two electric poles before falling into a plantation which was 50 feet beneath at Balakka near Santyaru on the Santyaru-Bettampady road on February 14, Tuesday evening.

 

The deceased is Muralidhar Bhat, a BJP backed member of Nidpalli Gram Panchayuat. He was on way to Bettampady when the mishap took place. It is learnt there were three others in the car when the mishap took place. The injured were shifted to the hospital by locals.
