Puttur: Man dies after wooden log accidentally falls over him

Puttur, June 05, 2023: A person lost his life after a wooden log fell over him while the logs were being loaded to a tipper with the help of a JCB at Sulliapadavu in Paduvannur village on June 5, Monday morning.

 

The deceased is Gopalakrishna, a resident of Sulliapadavu Battangala in Paduvannur village. The mishap took place when the logs of a mango tree located near Gopalakrishna’s house was being loaded to the tipper.

It is learnt Gopalakrishna was adjusting the rear door of the tipper when the log slipped from the JCB and fell over him.

Though he was immediately rushed to a hospital, his life could not be saved.

Gopalakrishna who was the president of Sulliapadavu unit of Congress was a former GP member. He is survived by his wife and three children.
