Puttur: Woman, child die as auto rams into KSRTC bus

Puttur, March 3, 2025: A woman and a child who were travelling in an autorickshaw lost their lives after the auto rammed into a KSRTC bus at Manjalpadpu on the Maani-Mysuru NH on Sunday evening. The autorickshaw driver was seriously injured in the mishap.

The KSRTC bus was on way to Puttur from Mangaluru while the auto was on way to Kabaka from Puttur. The deceased are Jameela (49) and her grandson Tapsib (5).  The auto was being driven by Jameela’s husband Mohammad who has been seriously injured.

The autorickshaw driver reportedly lost control over the vehicle resulting in the mishap. The accident was caught on CCTV camera.

A case has been registered in Puttur Traffic Police Station.
