Puttur man ends life by jumping into Netravathi river

Bantwal, Mar 27, 2023: A 32 year old man from Kemminje near Puttur, has ended his life by jumping into the Netravathi river  near Goodinabali on March 26, Sunday afternoon.

 

The deceased is Vighnesh Kamath (32). He was running a shop at Court Road in Puttur. On Sunday afternoon, he had come to Goodinabali near Panemangaluru in his scooter. He parked his scooter near the Netravathi old bridge and  then jumped into the river.

Though people swimming in the vicinity rushed to rescue him, it was a futile exercise.

Bantwal Town Police have registered a case. The reason behind the suicide is not known.
