Mangaluru, Oct 28, 2017: Former junior pontiff of Kashi Mutt Samsthan, Sri Raghavendra Theertha visited the residence of slain RTI activist Vinayak Baliga on October 27, Friday and assured full support to the fight for justice by the family members of Baliga.
Vinayak Baliga’s sisters as well as father interacted with the Swamiji and expressed fears that those forces that eliminated Vinayak Baliga may also target them. They also narrated how they were fighting for justice with the help of some social activists.
The Seer while assuring full support to Baliga family also said "The very same forces had even tried to eliminate me twice, but luckily I managed to escape as God saved me. The Almighty will always stand by those who fight for the sake of truth and justice," he said.
Raghavendra Theertha who had remained underground for as many as six years due to the conflict with the former head of Kashi Mutt late Sri Sudhindra Theertha, is visiting Mangaluru after a long gap.
