Removal of Vijaya Bank Founder’s photo : Bank of Baroda officer clarifies

Mangaluru, July 22, 2019:  Following concerns raised over the removal of the photos  of the Founder and founder directors of the erstwhile Vijaya Bank  from the  Regional office of the   Bank,  M J Nagaraj, General Manager of Bank of Baroda with which Vijaya Bank has been merged, has  clarified that the photos were removed to prepare their photocopies. He also stated that the photos will be back in their positions in the regional office in a couple of days  once the photo copies are taken.

 

Earlier reports stated that the photos of the Founder and founder  directors of the Vijay Bank were removed from the Regional office located near Ambedkar Circle  a week ago.  The General Manager clarified that as there were plans to have a museum in Bengaluru regarding Vijaya Bank, the photographs were sent as per the direction of the higher-ups.
