Renowned Philanthropist K.S.Abdul Rehman Haji joins CPIM, embarks on a new chapter of public service

Mangaluru, Dec 14, 2023: In a significant development, the renowned social worker, K. S. Abdul Rehman Haji, has officially joined the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPIM] at the party’s district headquarters in Kasaragod on Monday, December 11, 2023. Widely known as Andoncha, Abdul Rehman Haj is the nephew of the former Muslim League leader, the late K.S. Abdullah.

The momentous occasion was graced by the presence of District Secretary M.V. Balakrishnan Master, who warmly welcomed Abdul Rehman Haji and his son Abdullah Abdul Rehman into the party. "My dedication to social causes aligns with the party’s ethos, and our involvement is expected to further strengthen the CPIM’s commitment to the people," Abdul Rehman Haji said.

Currently residing in Mangalore and hailing from Kasaragod, Abdul Rehman Haji has left an indelible mark on society through his community service. Noteworthy among his many philanthropic endeavours is the remarkable contribution of Rs. 10 crore towards the renovation and expansion of the historic Malik Deenar Juma Masjid in Kerala, the second mosque ever built in India.

His noble initiative to provide affordable food at Rs. 20 has garnered immense support, especially in Kasargod, benefiting a vast number of people. He has also been providing free sewing classes for girls for the past 40 years. His has established numerous outdoor fitness parks and promoted a healthier lifestyle for the community.
