Renowned photographer Gurudath Kamath passes away

Mangaluru, September 29, 2024: Renowned photographer Gurudath Kamath passed away on September 28 in Mangaluru. A self-trained commercial photographer and educator based in Udupi, Kamath was known for his contributions to the photography community in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada.

He taught photography at Manipal Institute of Technology and the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration. Kamath also documented the Paryaya of Sri Shiroor Math and organized state-level treks for YHAI Karnataka.

His work in Kannada films as an associate cinematographer further showcased his versatility. His passing has left a significant void in the photography world.
