Rider dies as speeding car rams into scooter

Puttur, January 16, 2025: A scooterist lost his life after his two-wheeler was hit by a car at Peramugeru Sattikallu in Bantwal taluk on Wednesday evening.

The deceased is Usman (24), son of Abbas of Kedila. He was a painter by profession and was on way home after work when tragedy struck. He had stopped his two-wheeler on the roadside and was speaking to someone over his mobile phone when an unregistered car all off a sudden rammed into the scooter. Usman who fell to the road died on the spot while the car and the scooter landed in the drain due to the impact of the collision.

Puttur Traffic Police have registered a case.
