Road mishap: Injured scooterist succumbs

Udupi, September 5, 2024: An elderly scooterist who was injured in a road mishap near the APMC at Adi Udupi on August 14 has succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased is Vittal (78) of Tenkanidiyoor village. He was on way to Kodavoor from Adi Udupi on August 14 when he fell on the road after losing balance while trying to avoid a pothole. Though he had returned home after availing treatment, the injuries failed to heal and he developed breathing and heart issues leading to his death.

A case has been registered in Udupi Traffic Police station.
