SVT Acharya Mutt Sharadotsava concludes with grand Shobha Yatra

Mangaluru, October 15, 2024: The 102nd Sharada Mahotsava at the Acharya Mutt of Sri Venkataramana Temple at Carstreet concluded on October 14 with the grand Shobhayatra of Goddess Sharada idol. Thousands of devotees participated in the procession amid rains.

On Monday evening the idol of Goddess Sharada was offered Poornalankara following which a Maha Mangalarathi was performed by Srimad Sadyojatha Shankerashrama Swamiji of Chitrapur Mutt Samsthan. The Swamiji also witnessed the grand Shobhayatra.

The procession with the idol of Goddess Sharada accompanied by several Huli Vesha tableaux passed through Mahamayee Temple, Navabharath Circle, Dongerkeri, New Chitra Talkies, Chamaragalli and arrived at Carstreet again where the idol was immersed in the lake of Mahamayee Temple.

Temple Committee President Umananda Mallya, Secretary Adige Balakrishna Shenoy, MP Brijesh Chowta, MLA Vedavyas Kamath and others were present.
