Sahasra Kumbhabhisheka rituals commence at Sri Venkatramana Temple, Carstreet

Mangalore, Feb 1, 2013: Sahasra Kumbhabhisheka rituals commenced at the Sri Venkatramana Temple at Carstreet in Mangalore on February 1, Friday with the offering of Maha Prarthana (prayers) to Lord Shree Veera Venkatesha, the presiding deity, by Srimad Sudhindra Theertha Swamiji, the senior Swamiji of Kashi Mutt Samsthan and Sri Samyameendra Theertha Swamiji, the junior Swamiji and the anointed successor of the Mutt.

 

 

Various rituals including Guru Bhikshe, Gopooja, Brahmana Suvasini Aradhane were held at the temple.  C Lakshman Shenoy, Temple Trustee,   M Padmanabha Pai, President of the Temple Renovation Committee, U Nityananda Nayak, Madhav Kamath  and others were present.

 Sahasra Kumbhabhisheka arranged to mark the first anniversary of the Punah Pratishta Brahmakalashotsava of the renovated temple, will be held upto February 3.

Calendar released:

A  colourful calendar brought out by GSB Infomedia  to commemorate the Sahasra Kumbhabhisheka rituals, was  released by Sri Sudhindra Theertha Swamiji  on February 1, Friday. Mangalpady Namdev Shenoy, Suresh Kamath and others were present.
