Sahyadri College creates history in VTU 26th Inter-College State Level Athletic Championship.

Mangaluru, March 19, 2025: Sahyadri Athletic team emerged as the overall champions for the 8th time with 104 points, became the men’s category champions and women’s category champions in the VTU 26th Inter-College State Level Athletic Championship held at JNNCE, Shimoga from March 15 to 18 and the team secured second position in March past. A total of 1,434 athletes from 126 colleges participated in this competition and wrote a new history. There are 201 colleges under Visvesvaraya Technological University with 4 lakh students.

Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management College was established in Mangalore in 2007-2008 under the leadership of Hon’ble MLA Shri Manjunath Bhandari under Visvesvaraya Technological University.
From 2008-2009, he started participating in the state-level sports events of Visvesvaraya Technological University. Since then, he has participated in about 16 sports events and has been the overall champion 8 times, runner-up 5 times and 4th place 3 times.
