Sea erorion intensifies at Someshwara Uchila Endpoint; houses in danger

Mangaluru, September 30, 2023: Incessant rains since the past few days has aggravated sea erosion problem at Someshwara Uchila Endpoint. One house is facing fears of collapse while over 10 houses are in danger.

It may be recalled here that a road was completely washed away due to sea erosion at Uchila Battappady during the past two years. Now erosion has intensified at Endpoint area.

As the district administration has not taken any step to mitigate the problem, locals themselves are at work using a JCB and are also trying to safeguard the place using sand bags.
