Seminar on RTE Act held in Mangalore

Mangalore, Dec 21 2012 : A one-day seminar on Right to Education Act was held at the ZP Auditorium in Mangalore on December 20, Wednesday as part of Makkala Masotsava -2012. The programme was organized by the District SDMC Federation, DK District ZP Education Department, Federation of Educational Resources Centres and other organizations.

 

 

Koragappa Naik, ZP President, who inaugurated the seminar, stressed on the role of SDMCs  in the development of the schools  as well as the welfare of the students. 

He also spoke on the various  schemes organised by the government to make education affordable and reachable to the children of economically backward families. The Right to Education Act will play a very important role in this direction, he added.

 Umesh Nirmal, President of the Federation of Education  Resource Centres, presided over the function. Renny D’Souza, Director of Padi, Purushottam, inspector in education department and others were present.
