Shop burgled at Taudugoli: Theft caught on CCTV camera

Mangaluru, March 1, 2025: A thief who barged into a shop at Taudugoli Junction in Naringana village, has decamped with cash and other goods in the shop. The theft occurred late night on Friday and the thief’s act has been caught on CCTV camera.

The shop belonged to Vasanth, a local resident. At around 2.30 am, the thief opened the shutters of the shop using an iron rod and struggled for nearly half an hour to open the locks of the doors of the room where the cash counter was located. He has stolen cash of Rs 10,000 and other goods and grocery worth Rs 15,000.

He has also taken the wifi system in the shop reportedly after mistaking it for CCTV hard disc.

The shop owner who in the past used to sleep inside the shop, was of late sleeping at his home nearby due to some health issue.

Konaje police have registered a case.
