Six-year-old girl crushed by truck near Mukka

Mangaluru, Feb 07, 2024: In a tragic incident, a six-year-old student from NITK School was tragically killed on the service road near Mukka Indian Petrol pump.

 

The heartbreaking event occurred as the child and her father were riding home from school on a scooter. A truck approached from behind, colliding with the two-wheeler and fatally injuring the child.

The young victim, identified as Manvi, was the daughter of Sridhar, a resident of Mitrapatna in Mukka. Both the child’s body and her injured father were promptly taken to A J Hospital for medical attention.

Outraged bystanders at the scene expressed a desire to confront the truck driver. Surathkal station police arrived swiftly and apprehended both the truck and its driver in response to the situation.
