Smuggling: Gold worth Rs. 12,61000/- seized at Mangalore Intl. Airport

Mangaloru, Nov 25: The Customs officials at Mangalore International Airport seized 474.600 grams of gold on 25.11.2014, valued at Rs.12,61,076/-, in the form of four numbers of Ten tola gold bars and a gold coin concealed in the sandals worn by the passenger, who arrived from Dubai.

 

The passenger Shri.Hamsa Ameer, aged about 26 years, is a resident of H.No.17/631, Kizhur House, Chandragiri, Post Kasaragod -671317, Kerala, who arrived at Mangalore International Airport on 25.11.2014 at about 08.40 hrs by Jet Airways Flight No. 9W531 from Dubai.

Further investigation is under progress.
