Snapped electric cable claims life of CA student at Gurupur

Mangaluru, July 19, 2024: In a tragic incident, a young woman lost her life after she came into contact with a live wire which had got snapped and was lying on the ground at Gurupur near Bajpe on Friday morning.

The deceased is Ashwini Shetty (21), daughter of Harish Shetty of Kallakalambi. She was a CA student of a college in Mangaluru.

Harish Shetty had left the cows for grazing when two pet dogs had gone behind. Ashwini who had gone to fetch the dogs came into contact with the live wire.

Though she was immediately rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved.
