Mangaluru, Aug 11 2018: Today the society does not need revolutionaries or rebels, but a large community which can grasp truth, said veteran journalist Dinesh Amin Mattu.
He was speaking as a chief guest at a two-day interactive programme ’Sauhardateya Sahapayana’ a debate on the stories of partition, organised by ’Kosha Odu, Desha Nodu Balaga’ at Kalangann on August 11, Saturday.
Continuing further, he said communalism was not only unconstitutional but also against humanity and progress. Today we need an enlightened society where there is possible to hold debates in a free and fair way. It’s easy to spread communalism, but one needs to teach lessons on constitution to spread secularism, he said.
Muneer Katipalla of DYFI, Sripada Bhat, Dr Ramamurthi, Prof Rahamath Tarikere and others were present.
