Mangaluru, Jan 26, 2025: Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker UT Khader visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Friday, following an invitation from Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana. Khader shared his experience on social media, posting photos with Naga Sadhus and saints, and noted that special prayers were offered for the welfare of the people.
Khader praised the event as a testament to India’s rich cultural heritage and expressed awe at the gathering of devotees from across the world. He highlighted the excellent arrangements made by the Uttar Pradesh Speaker and the cultural significance of such events in fostering societal harmony.
Though Khader did not participate in the holy dip at the Sangam, he accompanied his friends who performed the theertha snana. The Speaker also visited the Hazrat Makhdoom Sadath Chaudhon Peero Radi Allahu Anhu Dargah in Allahabad, where he prayed for the well-being and prosperity of all Indians.
Khader was welcomed on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Speaker by Assistant Commissioner Dasharath Kumar. He was accompanied by his personal secretary PS Mahesh Karjagi and Bengaluru-based associates Ram Prasad, Deepak Pillar and Hari Krishna.
