Special train services to Bengaluru for Christmas rush announced by SWR

Mangaluru, Dec 22, 2024: To cater to the Christmas festival rush, the South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the operation of two special train services between Yeshwantpur and Mangaluru Junction.

Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chotwa shared the update, stating that Train No. 06505/06506 Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwantpur Express will run on December 23 and 27 from Yeshwantpur and on December 24 and 28 from Mangaluru Junction. "May this initiative bring cheer to all those planning to celebrate Christmas in Mangaluru," he added.

According to the SWR notification, Train No. 06505 will depart Yeshwantpur at 11:55 p.m. on December 23 and 27 and arrive at Mangaluru Junction at 11:45 a.m. the next day. The train will pass through Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpura, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, and Bantwal.

In the return journey, Train No. 06506 will leave Mangaluru Junction at 1:00 p.m. on December 24 and 28, reaching Yeshwantpur at 10:30 p.m. the same day.

The special service is expected to provide much-needed relief for passengers traveling home for the festive season.
