St Gerosa school suspends teacher accused of hurting religious sentiments

Mangaluru, Feb 13, 2024: The St Gerosa English Higher Primary School at Jeppu in Mangaluru has suspended a teacher of the school who allegedly made some comments that hurt the religious sentiments of students of a community.

 

The school management has issued an official communique in this regard giving information regarding the suspension of the teacher Sr. Prabha pending enquiry by the authorities. The school has also assured full co-operation to the investigation and stressed the need for a positive relationship to ensure uninterrupted academic activities.

It may be recalled here that the school had witnessed protests by Hindu organisations and some students after a parent complained against the teacher for hurting religious sentiments.
