Mangalore, Oct 10, 2013: A marble statue of Shirdi Sai Baba was installed at the newly constructed Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir at Sri Gokarnanatha Temple, Kudroli on October 10, Friday.
The statue is five feet and seven inches tall. The Mandir has been constructed on behalf of Santosh Kumar Poojari, the son of former union minister B Janardhana Poojari, the architect of the temple renovation.
The rituals commenced at 10 am under the guidance of Lokesh Shanthi, the Temple Priest. There was Maha Pooja and Prasada distribution. The two newly appointed widow priests too offered Aarati to the statue of Shirdi Sai Baba.
Temple Management Committee President Sairam, former minister Krishna Palemar, Harikrishna Bantwal and others were present.
