Sullia: Centenarian Monappa Gowda who served as Nehru’s driver, passes away

Sullia, Oct 06, 2022: Centenarian  Monappa Gowda Korambadka (102) who  had served as the car driver of former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru and eminent writer Kota Shivaram Karanth, passed away at his residence at Kanakamajalu on October 5, Wednesday morning.

 

Monappa Gowda was associated with Pandit Nehru during the freedom struggle. He is survived by a son, three daughters and innumerous well-wishers.
