Sullia: Lorry laden with hay catches fire ; none hurt

Sullia, Dec 31, 2021: A lorry laden with hay caught fire and was completely gutted at Doddathota in Sullia taluk  on December 31, Friday  morning. The lorry driver Satish, owner Rajesh and another person named Puttaraju jumped out of the vehicle and managed to escape unhurt.

 

The mishap occurred after the driver lost control over the vehicle and the lorry overturned. The lorry which was  on way to Mulleriya from Sakleshpur was negotiating a curve near Doddathota when it veered to the side of the road to make way for a bus  coming from the opposite direction resulting in the mishap.

The lorry was up in blaze and was gutted in no time. Fire tender vehicles rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
