Sullia: Wild elephant attacks destroy plantations

Sullia, March 24, 2025: Wild elephant attacks have destroyed plantations causing huge loss in Kallugundi and Harihara Pallathadka villages on Saturday night.

Several arecanut coconut and plantain trees were destroyed in the plantations belonging to Sri Harihareshwara Temple and the Kamalaksha Devaragadde and Subbamma Devaragadde plantations.

In Sampaje Kallugundi too the elephants have damaged protective fencing before entering the plantation.

Farmers have urged the authorities to provide protection against wild elephant attacks on plantations.
