Suspicious death of woman: Husband arrested on murder charges

Belthangady, Sep 05, 2022: Police have arrested a man in connection with the suspicious death of his wife at Agartha in Kokkada village after medical reports confirmed that it was a murder.

Mohini (36) of Agartha village had died suspiciously. Her husband Ganesh (48) has now been arrested.

 

Ganesh who hailed from Shanivarasanthe had married Mohini of Kollamogaru eight years ago and since then the couple were residing in Agartha village. Ganesh is a rubber tapping worker and the couple has a six year old son.

It is learnt, Ganesh was an alcoholic and this resulted in frequent quarrels between the couple. On August 30, Mohini ws found dead and she had suffered bleeding from her forehead. A suspicious death case was then lodged. Medical reports confirmed that the woman was murdered.

The son of the couple has been handed over to the Child Care Centre after none of the relatives came forward to look after him.
