Swachh Sagar Abhiyan conducted at Tannirbhavi Beach by Ramakrishna Mission and Nitte University

Mangaluru, Sept 8, 2024: The 12th-month cleanliness campaign of the second edition of the Swachh Mangaluru Abhiyan, titled "Swachh Sagar Abhiyan," was conducted on Sunday at the Tannirbhavi beach.

Swami Jitakamananda, President of Ramakrishna Mutt, Mangaluru and N. Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University, inaugurated the campaign by waving the green flag.

 

In collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission, students and faculty of Nitte University and Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy participated in the Swachh Sagar Abhiyan as part of the International Physiotherapy Day celebrations.

 

Present on the occasion were Captain Ganesh Karnik, K.P. Panikkar, Project Director of Yojana India Pvt. Ltd., Prof. Dhanesh Kumar, Principal of Nitte Physiotherapy College, Prof. Rakesh Krishna, Coordinator of the Swachh Sena team, and retired soldiers Bellala Gopinath Rao, Kamalaksha Pai, Vitthaldas Prabhu, Umanath Kotekar along with faculty members Prakash and Srivatsa.
