Thieves decamp with gold, cash from a house at Udyavar

Kaup, January 31, 2025: Thieves who broke into a house at Udyavar Guddeyangady have decamped with cash and valuables.

The theft took place when Reshma and her daughter who lived in the rented house, were away at Reshma’s husband’s house at Parkala.

The two were staying on the first floor of the house belonging to Chandrakanth. The house owner was away in Mumbai when the theft took place.

When the two who left home on January 25, returned on January 29, they found the front door open and jewellery weighing 116 grams and silver articles weighing 100 grams apart from Rs 30,000 cash missing.

Kaup police are investigating the case.
