Thieves steal offering boxes from Siddakatte shrine; theft caught in CCTV camera

Bantwal, Dec 26, 2019 :  Thieves  who broke into the  Panambur Shree Veerabhadra Mahamayee Temple at Sangabettu in Siddakatte have  escaped with two offering boxes at the shrine  during the wee hours of Thursday. The theft has  been captured in the CCTV camera of the shrine.

 

If the thieves had   discarded one of the offering boxes after removing the cash inside it, they had taken  away another one with them.  A  futile  attempt to break open the sanctum sanctorum of the shrine has also been made by the thieves.

The theft came to light when the priest opened the shrine in the morning. The  Brahmakalashotsava and Punar Pratishta was held at the renovated shrine recently.
