Thousands attend Mosaru Kudike celebrations in various parts of city

Mangalore, Aug 30, 2013 : The Mosaru Kudike  celebrations in Mangalore and various parts of the district were marked with gaiety on August 29, Thursday.

Grand festivities were held at  Kadri Kambla, Attavar Babugudde, Urva, Kottara and other places in the city as part of Mosaru Kudike.

At Kadri Kambla, the Kadri Friends Circle organised celebrations on a grand scale in the presence of thousands of people.

There were around 50 Mosaru Kudikes or pots  to be  broken by enthusiastic youngsters. A youth was also injured in the process of breaking the pot and had to be rushed to the hospital.

A colourful procession featuring tableaux, huli veshas, chendes, Nasik bands etc   were the added attraction of the Mosaru Kudike celebrations.

D K District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai visited Attavar Babugudde where too Mosaru Kudike celebrations were held. Thousands attended the festivities here too.

 Mosaru Kudike celebrations were also held at Tokkottu.
