Thousands of devotees visit Kudupu Temple for Shashti celebrations

Mangalore, Dec 19, 2012: Shree Ananthapadmanabha Temple at Kudupu, saw a sea of devotees from the city as well as from various parts of the district, to take part in the Shashti celebrations and also witness the Brahmarathotsava at the Temple on December 18, Tuesday.

The six day Shashti festivities at the temple concluded on Tuesday and a Hagalu Rathotsava held on this day was witnessed by thousands of devotees who had thronged the temple to invoke the blessings of Lord Ananthapadmanabha.


Various rituals like Ratha Kalasha, Mahapooja and Navaka Kalashabhisheka were performed at the temple. The Shree Anantha Padmanabha Temple at Kudupu is one of the very few religious shrines were Lord Anantha Padmanabha, Lord Subrahamanya and Lord Nagadeva are worshipped at one place.
The Temple also has a Nagabana with over 500 Nagashila Bimbas.
