Tiger on the prowl: Panic grips several places of Kasargod district

Kasargod, February 6, 2025: Residents of Karadka, Mulliyar, Delampady, Bedadka and other places in Kasargod district are living in fear following reports of a tiger on the prowl particularly in the areas located on the edge of forests.

The forest department has initiated measures to trap the tiger and a rapid response team is camping at Bovikkana  day and night.

Several pet animals have reportedly fallen prey to the tiger. It is learnt the presence of tiger has been confirmed with the help of a camera trap laid by the Forest Department.

An expert committee has also been formed as per the guidelines of National Tiger Conservation Authority. Two cages have been placed at Mulliyar to trap the wild animal.
