Train services delayed for hours due to point failure at Mangaluru station

Mangaluru, March 12, 2025: Train services were delayed for hours after a point failure at Mangaluru Central Railway Station. The Mangaluru-Chennai Superfast Express and the Mangaluru-Kannur Passenger train departed an hour and a half late.

The Maveli Express, scheduled to leave at 5.40 pm, and the Malabar Express, set to depart at 6.10 pm, were both delayed by two hours.As of 8.00 pm, neither train had yet departed from Mangaluru.

Meanwhile, railway authorities informed that the issue has been resolved.
