Trawl boat capsizes after hitting rock; all six fishermen rescued

Mangaluru, Feb 02, 2024: A trawl boat which was returning to Ullal from fishing capsized on Friday morning after it hit a rock mid-sea. All six  fishermen on board this ill-fated boat were rescued by fishermen from two other boats. Fish catch, net and other goods worth several lakhs were lost in the mishap.

 

The boat which met with a mishap belonged to Nayana P Suvarna. Her husband Praveen Suvarna was operating the boat. He along with fishermen of UP origin namely Samara Bahaddur, Ram Manoj, Rohith, Prakash and Vasu were rescued.
